Carlton Town Pre-Match News
Gresley travel to Carlton Town for their Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy hoping to continue the form which saw them put up a brave display against Conference North high-flyers Brackley Town taking them to a replay in the FA Cup.
Carlton have made a good start to their league campaign and are sitting in second place having lost just one of their first nine games so Gresley manager Martin Rowe knows they are in for a tough time.

However, he believes Carlton's league position could be an advantage for his side saying; "We like it when we play the bigger teams. At the moment ww're defending quite well, but that was due to the opposition we were playing. We'll go with a slightly different approach and let a few more players go forward."

Rowe was hoping to have added another striker to his squad but the player concerned was asking for too much money adding. "People still think we've got a lot of money, and I don't know where they get that from. We're on the same budget we were on four years ago!"

Jordan Nadat, who has come on as a substitute for the last two games after recovering from a back injury, is being considered to start the game. Rob Spencer (hamstring) is rated as 50-50 but Danny Holmes should be available after being involved with the Derby County first team in midweek.
