Leek Town Pre-Match News
Gresley travel to Harrison Park tomorrow to face Leek Town for the second time in a week (weather permitting).
Last Saturday, Gresley beat Leek who are regarded as one of the promotion favourites and are expecting a backlash after putting a dent into their title hopes at the Moat Ground.

However, Gresley manager Wayne Thornhill is looking forward to what will be a very difficult game on a pitch in similar condition to that as the Moat Ground. Leek admit that their Harrison Park surface is not as they'd wish it to be and have applied for funding to improve it for next season.

Thornhill has remarked that his team is now able to adapt to the varying playing surfaces that they face at this time of year so is looking forward to what should be a 'tasty' encounter.

"It will be a tasty game," said Thornhill. "I don't know if they'll change tactically but I'll look to see if we need to change tactically for an away game at a difficult place to go to. I know they haven't lost too many lately, but we'll see what happens and if we can get a positive result there then we're looking good."

Thornhill is hoping that Mitch Hanson (foot) and Jake Carlisle (knee) are fit to face Leek but should they miss the game he has John Guy back in the squad.

Luke Edwards should be fit to start and Thornhill also has young striker Ryan King available.
