Wayne Thornhill

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you all Wayne Thornhill has resigned as first team manager of Gresley FC with immediate effect.
To set the record straight Wayne Thornhill as not been sacked as speculated in the media.

Wayne Thornhill informed me yesterday after a lot of soul searching he was resigning as manager of Gresley FC. I asked him if he was sure and to give it more thought.
Last night Wayne confirmed his decision to resign.

Personally I am gutted Wayne and myself have had a great working relationship I will miss him at the club.
I wish him all the best for the future.

We will be advertising for a new manager after the next board meeting. In the interim period Dave Langston has kindly offered to run the team as caretaker manager with Jamie Barrett.
