Westwood departs the Moat Ground
Lee Westwood has left the Moat Ground by mutual agreement.
Westwood has struggled to hold a first team place after what the manager John McGinlay descibed as "losing some of his hunger and desire".

"We have decided to terminate Lee's contract by mutual agreement because Lee has been disappointed that he hasn't had too many opportunities lately. I feel he may be better off going in a new direction, but I must stress that I have had no problems with Lee.

"He's a smashing lad on and off the park and maybe by getting him a regular game it will get him back on track.

"When he first came to the club he was hungry and fresh, but I think he has lost the desire and maybe a move is the best thing for both parties, but Lee has been no bother and the club wishes him the very best," added the Moat boss.
