Gaz Norton's Reserve Team News
Our recent good run of results came to a disappointing end last Saturdays as we crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Atherstone Utd.
Although we had a considerably depleted side due to four regulars being involved in 1st team action Simon and I felt that the side we put out on the day was more than capable of getting a result. However poor defending and individual errors cost us dear and when you combine that with wasteful finishing at the other end then you are never going to win football matches.

We have to put that setback behind us and concentrate on finishing the season on a high. We are starting to cast our eye onto thinking about next season. I have recently had discussions with the Chairman and we are currently in the planning stage for next season, however, a lot will depend on the requirements of the new manager and how he wants the Reserve side to be run.

There is still plenty to do this season in terms of deciding which of the current Reserve squad we want to retain for next season. We have 4 league games left and a two legged Semi Final coming up so there are plenty of games for those people who want to be here next season to prove it both with their performances on the pitch and their attitudes off it.

On Saturday we are at Shepshed in the league where we hope to bounce back from last week's defeat in a positive manner.
