Moat Ground receives thumbs up
The Moat Ground

The Moat Ground

"Your ground can be good enough for Dr. Martens Premier Division football".
This was the statement of an inspection group from Derbyshire County Council's Safety at Sports Grounds committee along with police and fire officers who met at the Moat Ground on October 8th. The club could safely increase the capacity of the stadium to 3,500 - 500 more than the current Dr. Martens requirement. This could be done by carrying out detailed works to the pitch perimeter fence and the provision of additional turnstiles. A statement from the club "This is a positive indication of what can be achieved and we will be proceeding to seek the necessary funding and assistance from organisations, public bodies and supporters. The club is grateful for the advice given and can look forward to the immediate future at the Moat Ground" says Neil Betteridge, Secretary.
