Rovers bid to snatch back lead
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers will be hoping to jump back to the top of the Banks’s League when they travel to Harrisons tonight (6.30pm).
The see-saw battle for the title could swing back in favour of the Moatmen if they can pick up a vital victory. The three points would take them back above their rivals Rocester and put them in the driving seat for the final run in. But Rovers boss Frank Northwood knows that a slip up at this point could put a serious dent in his teams championship challenge.

He will be hoping striker Paul Acklam can boost the Moatmen’s chances by recovering from a torn stomach muscle to take his place in tonight’s starting line-up.

Acklam missed both Easter fixtures but is named in Northwood’s squad for the trip to Harrisons.
