Stourport pre-match news
The only doubt for tomorrow’s home game is defender Gary White who suffered a knock on his ankle at Bradford.
White was given the ok by manager Jon Newsome to play for Bradford City reserves on Tuesday night in their Barclaycard Premier Reserve Division (North)game against Sunderland.

Newsome has said to his players: “Keep up the good work. The emphasis is on us to continue the little run we have started. Confidence should be high, although we have not been able to train properly this week because of the weather.

“It’s up to us now and hopefully stay unbeaten over the Christmas period. Tomorrow will be another tough game as was the game at Swindon last week.”

Newsome is hoping to tie up a loan deal for the Stourport game but could find it difficult to register the player in time.

One area that Gresley needs to strengthen is the defence and Newsome failed to persuade his intended target to join the Moat Ground club last week so he is hoping to tie up a loan deal as soon as possible.

Good news came as defender Stuart Evans has begun training again after suffering a leg injury that has plagued him for most of this season. It was proved to be caused by a slight fracture and needed a period of rest to cure. Hopefully, he can now build up his match fitness and return to bolster the Gresley defence.
