Go Weston

Gresley boss Frank Northwood has urged fans to get off the back of midfielder Craig Weston.
Northwood singled out the improving Weston as his man-of-the-match after the 2-0 Boxing Day defeat of Hinckley Athletic.

But he stormed: “Some of the crowd have been getting at Craig over the last couple of games and I wish they would leave it out.

“I thought the boy had a great game – he put in a terrific supply of crosses.”

Weston’s form has, in fact, been patchy since the former Burton Albion reserve player moved to the Moat Ground from Grantham.

But he is held in high esteem by his team-mates and in recent games has been a revelation on the right of midfield where he has begun to build up a telling understanding with full back John Barry.
