Norman first played for Rovers in September 1941.

He won two medals Central Alliance Cup winners and Gresley Old Folks Cup winners.
Norman left Gresley and played for Accrington Stanley and Oldham Athletic before joining Burton Albion in 1950. After 3 years with Burton, he returned to Gresley in 1953/54 season.

Norman died on 10th January 2000 aged 75.
