Rushall Olympic vs Gresley Rovers

Saturday saw the reserves visit Rushall Olympic, always a tricky game.

The game couldn't have gotten off to a worse start with Rushall scoring within the first 5 minutes. The game was very stop-and-start with Gresley missing chance after chance, which has been the norm over the last few games.

We went in 1-nil down at half time and I was far from happy with the amount of effort being shown by the players and they were told so!

In the second half we missed several more good chances and their keeper pulled off a world class save from Kamar Smithen, still we couldn't score. The game continued to be centred on the referee's whistle, with Rushall hitting our bar with minutes to go.

From my view a very poor performance be a team going through the motions, things have got to change.

On a positive I gave debuts to Ben Kelly-Wally and Leon Dolman from the youth team, so well done lads.

I'm sorry for the amount written but it really was one of those none descript occasions.
