Oadby Town vs Gresley Rovers

Oadby Town 0 v 0 Gresley Rovers

Team from: T. Allen, A. Dunn, D. Cox, L. Gadsby, A. Colley, S. Heer, J. Guthrie, R. Draycott, J. Ward, R. Yearsley, S. Berriman, C. Blackshields, S. Barrett, J. Rowland.

Gresley visited Oadby and yet again were unable to choose from a full selection. The disappointing departure of Joe Miller, the commitments of Andy Harrison and injuries to Chris Mawbey, Alex Bolt, James Pemberton and Gareth Wilson, left the reserves a bit short in some key areas.

Tom Allen, from Gresley's under 16's, made his debut at just 15 years of age. Tom wasn't troubled too much, but what he had to do he did very well. Gresley were comfortable for most of the game and had four or five good chances to take the victory. Unfortunately the Oadby keeper made some fine stops.

Oadby were reduced to a single chance after a mistake from Gadsby, but he was quick to recover and make a fine stop.

Adrian Colley by all accounts continued to progress and impress as did Johnnie Guthrie. Andy Dunn did well in yet another position and Danny Cox continued to lead and inspire those around him.

Gresley Reserves will be disappointed to only collect a point from this fixture, as three was a really important target. However, under the circumstances they can feel content with the point away from home. Hopefully we can soon field a full team as we have some tough fixtures coming up.
