Bromsgrove Rovers vs Gresley FC

Bromsgrove Rovers 2 - 3 Gresley

Squad: Paul Hollis, Sam Rose, Joe Swift, Lee Stretton (c), Joe Tomlin, Andy Dunn, Sam Worth, Joe Urhquart, Craig Tucker, Matt Draycott, Ash Franklin.

Subs: Brad Clarke, Winston Madeya, Scott Allsopp, Dean Waite, Alex Rowland.

Today we were on the road again this time to Bromsgrove Rovers with a few players missing due to work, holidays and other commitments it gave me chance to have a look at some of the other players in squad that have been patiently waiting for there chance.

The first 15-20 minutes we were a bit slow to to get going but we eventually started to come together and on 25 minutes the ball broke loose inside there box wide left and Ash Franklin was the first to react and just got to the ball before the Bromsgrove defender who had no choice but to bring him down,up stepped Andy Dunn who made it 1-0.

We then proceeded to let Bromsgrove get on top and put us under pressure for the rest of the half and inevitably they equalised and we went in at half time 1-1.

My half time team talk is becoming boring and repetitive and I'm getting fed up of saying the same things week in week out communication, work rate and organisation.

Tactics team shape and everything else doesn't matter if we are not prepared to talk to each other work hard and listen and learn and put these into practice every time we step over that white line.

Second half we did improve slightly I brought on Alex Rowland for Ash Franklin around the hour mark and then after Sam Worth got a knock he came off and was replaced by Winston Madeya on 70 minutes who did give us a boost down the right side.

We did go in front on 75 minutes with a free kick from our right side about 40 yards out Andy Dunn delivered quality to the back post and Matt Draycott managed to slide in and make it 2-1.

We then went 3-1 up with a carbon copy of the second goal from that point we should of seen the game out comfortably but Bromsgrove managed to get one back with the last kick of the game to make it 3-2. We need to start to do the basics better and the rest will take care of it's self.
