Bloxwich United vs Gresley Rovers

Gresley Rovers Reserves came from behind to defeat Bloxwich Utd at Blakenhill ground. Rovers were stunned in the 8th minute when a speculative effort from Alex Hinton flashed past Brad Clarke in the Rovers goal to put the visiyors
ahead. Greg Smith, making his 1st start for a while made it 1-1 after he followed up a Mykey Price shot to pounce from close range on 18minutes.

Gresley pressed for the advantage and had a number of close efforts in the run up to half time. Paul Grosse's long ball to the edge of the Bloxwich box was headed down by Phil Lonergan into the path of Smith who hit a first time effort that flew into the net for a deserved half time lead.

Gresley extended the lead on 49 minutes when Earl Alexander was pulled down in the box. Phil Lonergan making no mistake from the spot. Debutant and trialist Sean James made it -1 on 68 mins when his cross cum shot found the top corner of the Bloxwich net.

The Reserves are next in action on Thursday night when they travel to Highgate in the Challenge Trophy.
