Tamworth vs Gresley Rovers
Gresley Rovers youth team were well beaten tonight against a stronger and much keener looking Tamworth youth team.
Young Rovers had not played a game since November 18th against Dudley Sports and it showed as much as they tried nothing seemed to happen for them they seemed to be out of sorts in all departments no doubt the coaches will endeavour to put things to right in training.
Rovers conceded 5 goals. Some of them silly defensive errors but the third goal was a good overhead kick from 16 yards. The ball was about 6 feet off the ground but the goalkeeper seemed to fall back and did not manage to get anything on the ball.
I'm sure things will improve and we look forward to the next match against Stourbridge of Wednesday Jan 22nd at the Moat Ground
