Gresley Rovers vs Stourbridge
Another fantastic result for the youth team and justly deserved. Brian Barker pulled out an outstanding performance and netted twice along with Stu Lynne and Johnie Guthrie.
Gresley's first half performance was outstanding, playing second place Stourbridge off the park with no answer.
We took the lead early in the first half from a great move down the right involving Dan Foster, Brian Barker and finished by Lynne. Barker then took the game by the scruff of the neck and proved too much for the away team to handle scoring twice and putting us 3-0 up.
Guthrie capped it off in the second half with a side foot into the far corner.
Stourbridge replied with a goal just before the interval, then again late on from the penalty spot.
All in all a great result for us and more confidence gained.
